Israel strike on Gaza yesterday night

Israel claims it carried out airstrikes in Gaza immediately after Palestinians presented incendiary balloons from the property, in the first noteworthy flare-up since an 11-day conflict last month.

The Israeli military claimed it targeted ingredients belonging to Hamas, the militant group that controls Gaza. The incendiary balloons started 20 fires in southern Israel on Tuesday.

What do we realize concerning the strikes?

Initially, the flag march was supposed to take place on 10 May. But it had been interrupted by Hamas militants in Gaza firing rockets towards the holy city, which generated the 11-day conflict.

The moment a ceasefire took hold, the organizers asked for the march to be rescheduled.

As a result of taking place last Thursday, the organizers had canceled it after Israeli police rejected the proposed route, citing security concerns.

The new Israeli government later approved an amended route that avoided passing through the Damascus Gate. However, the Arab Islamist Raam party leader in the coalition said it will have now been called off. The conflict began after weeks of spiraling Israeli-Palestinian tension in East Jerusalem, culminating in clashes at a holy site revered by Muslims and Jews.
