Why it’s never too late to be always a lesbian
More and more women are discovering after years of marriage to men and having had children, they are lesbians. Were they generally – or is sex more water?
For Careen Stock, the discovery came when she was 44. She’d achieved her husband – “a perfect man, really special” – at senior high school when she was 16, has been married to him for 25 decades, had two dearly loved young ones, and what she explains as a “white-picket-fence existence” in New York. Then, one day, sitting opposite her closest friend, she realized: “Oh my God. I’m deeply in love with this woman.” The notion that she might be described as a lesbian had never occurred to her before. “If you’d asked me the prior year,” she says, “I might have replied: ‘I know just who and what I’m – I’m not just a lesbian, or could I ever be one.’ ”
From that time, Stock’s comprehension of her sex transformed completely. She felt compelled to inform her friend, but her attraction wasn’t reciprocated; initially, she wasn’t sure whether she’d hurt feelings for women in general or simply this one in particular. But she gradually stumbled on realize, and accept, that she was a lesbian. She also began to realize that her experience was not unusual.
Stock chose to interview different married girls who’d dropped profoundly in love with girls, “creating fliers in theatres and bookstores. Women started contacting me from in the USA – everyone knew someone who knew somebody in that situation.” The interviews turned into a book, Married Women Who Enjoy Women, and when it stumbled on writing the next variation, Stock appeared to the net for interviewees. “Within days,” she says, “more girls had reached me than I must say I can ever really speak to.”
Lesbian Sexual Health
Whether heterosexual or homosexual, the practice of safe sex is essential to reduce your chances of getting an STD. Anyone can be infected, even a female in a same-sex relationship where neither have ever had sex with a man.
